While many admirable achievements in the healthcare system and the medico-social sector can be observed – and should be more valued – the structural difficulties encountered are now unanimously recognized. When difficulties are structural, the responses cannot be circumstantial. It is therefore necessary to return to the fundamentals of the various professions related to human interaction and consequently redefine the supervisory function of professionals. It is also important to rethink the organization of various forms of practice as well as team management. Such a redefinition, taking into account what "forms the foundation" of these professions, is based on the humble awareness that its main goal is not to achieve change, but to set out on a path towards it by aiming for an ethically desirable horizon.
