Currently, digestive tumors represent one of the leading causes of mortality from cancer, their prognosis significantly depending on the phase in which they are detected. Therefore, preventive activities are especially relevant in those subjects with genetic alterations, hereditary syndromes or premalignant lesions, due to their high risk of developing tumors. However, the lack of knowledge and the absence of a multidisciplinary approach and homogeneity in the evaluation and follow-up mean that the population considered “high risk” is not treated correctly.
