This book is intended for students as well as all health professionals. It presents a selection of 80 health concepts aimed at enriching initial and continuing education, as well as the practice of care and research in the fields of health, nursing sciences, and other disciplines. Written in collaboration with 47 specialized contributors from various fields, this book achieves an international dimension and a unifying approach for health professions. Using the Walker and Avant method, the book analyzes the concepts and allows their appropriation by defining, describing, discriminating, and giving them an operational character through model and contrary cases that illustrate the mobilization of each concept in a situation. Each concept analysis is developed according to eight steps: identification of the concept, goals of the concept analysis, uses of the concept, definition of the concept's attributes, construction of a model case, construction of a contrary case and identification of neighboring concepts, antecedents and consequences of the concept, empirical referents of the concept, as well as a bibliography.
